What a request counts as, what happens at the limit, and how changing plan works.

One document sent to one or more signers. A document going to three people is a single request, not three. Signing something yourself never counts against the limit.
What happens when I reach my limit?
Documents already out for signature keep working, and signers can still finish them. On Free, the 3 requests are a total that doesn't reset, so new requests wait until you upgrade. On Personal, they wait until the month rolls over or you move up.
Do you ask for a card to start?
Only for a paid plan, and only at the checkout itself. Free needs no card and has no time limit: your account, documents and self-signing stay free for as long as you like, with 3 signature requests to send to others.
Can I change plan later?
Yes, in either direction. An upgrade applies at once and the difference is charged pro rata; a downgrade applies at your next renewal, so you keep what you paid for. Annual billing is charged up front for the year at the discounted monthly rate.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, on your first payment: ask within 14 days and it is refunded in full, monthly or annual. Renewals and unused time are not refunded, but you can cancel any time and keep the plan until the period ends. The full refund policy is linked in the footer.
Is the audit trail really on the free plan?
Yes. Every completed document is sealed and its trail is hash-chained on all three plans. Proof is the product — putting it behind a paywall would make the free tier a demo rather than a smaller version of the same thing.
