The problem

Where freelance jobs usually go wrong

Almost always in the gap between a client saying yes and a client signing something.

The client says “go ahead” on a call

Send a statement of work with the fee, deposit and deadline, and have it signed before you open the first file.

The third round of revisions nobody paid for

A one-page change order with its price, signed before you start the extra work, not argued about after it.

The invoice that's 60 days late

Your payment terms, sealed in the signed contract, with a certificate of the moment the client agreed to them.

The client who goes quiet after the proposal

See when they opened it, and let a reminder go out if they haven't signed. Automatic reminders are on Personal.

The flow

From your template to a signed contract

Set the contract up once. After that, each new client is a name, an email and the fee.

01 Before the job

Write your contract once, send it to every client

Upload the contract you already use, place the client's signature, date and initials, and save it as a template.

  • Word files are converted to PDF for you
  • Fill in the fee and dates yourself before it goes out
  • Sign your side in the editor while you prepare it
  • Five templates on Personal: SOW, NDA, change order and two more

The client's date fills in by itself when they finish signing.

02 Your client

They sign between meetings, on their phone

Clients sign once and move on, so they never make an account or download an app. The link works on any phone or laptop, anywhere.

  • Draw, type or upload a signature
  • Names in Hindi, Arabic, Chinese and more print correctly
  • A one-time code by email or SMS for high-value work

03 When it goes wrong

The PDF you point to when the invoice is late

The signed contract is sealed and emailed to both of you, with an audit certificate of who agreed to what, and when.

  • Sealed PDF, so any later edit shows
  • Certificate with the client's email, IP address and times
  • Yours to keep, even if you cancel
  • Void and resend if the scope changes before they sign

Questions

What freelancers ask first

Anything else, write to us. A person answers.

[email protected]
Does my client need an account or have to pay anything?

No. They open the link from their email and sign in the browser. There is no sign-up, no password and nothing to pay. Only the person sending needs an account.

Do you give me a contract to send?

No. You upload the contract you already use, or one a lawyer wrote for you, as a Word file or PDF. Signibility places the fields, collects the signatures and seals the result. It doesn't write or review contract terms.

Is a contract signed this way legally binding?

In most countries, yes, for everyday business contracts like a statement of work or an NDA. The audit certificate records the client's consent, email, IP address and the time of each step, which is the evidence you would need later. A few document types, such as some property deeds, still need paper in some places. Check the law in your country →

Can I send a contract to a client in another country?

Yes. The link works anywhere, the client needs no account, and names in scripts such as Hindi, Arabic, Thai, Chinese and Korean print correctly on the signed PDF. Which country's law applies is whatever your contract says, the same as on paper.

What if the client wants more work after signing?

Send the extra work as its own change order, with its price, and have it signed before you start. The original stays sealed as agreed. If the client hasn't signed the first one yet, void it, edit it and send it again.

What proof do I have if a client says they never agreed?

The sealed PDF and its audit certificate. The certificate shows the email the link went to, when it was opened, the consent, the signature and the IP address, and the seal shows the file has not changed since.

Can I sign contracts clients send me?

Yes. Upload their document, sign it yourself and download the signed PDF. Signing documents yourself is unlimited on every plan, Free included, and doesn't use up a signature request.
